CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Rainy, cloudy weather will remain in place across the metro Friday, which caused slick driving conditions for the morning commute.
The wintry mix has moved out of the mountains, but slick conditions remain.

The temperatures will not warm to above freezing until Friday afternoon in the mountains.
The rain in the metro will also ease up Friday afternoon as well, but mist and drizzle will likely remain through Friday evening.
Temperatures will hover near 40 degrees all day long.
Another batch of rain comes in Friday night and will last through Saturday morning.
Drier weather slowly filters in by Saturday evening, but clearing may not take place until Saturday night.
Much brighter weather will arrive Sunday as temperatures warm up to near 60 degrees.
