MCADENVILLE, N.C. —
Voters in McAdenville approved alcohol sales on Tuesday night.
More than half of McAdenville's registered voters went to the polls and 54 percent of them voted in favor of allowing alcohol to be sold in town.
Voter Kevin Lamp told Channel 9 he supported the referendum. “There’s jobs at stake here. There is millions of dollars in investments at stake here. There’s a much bigger picture,” Lamp said.
The referendum does not allow ABC stores or bars.
