CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

On Tuesday evening, the community had a chance to weigh in on Charlotte's controversial streetcar project.

A group that supports the project invited the public, the mayor and council members to have an open conversation about it.

Currently, a starter line extends from Center City to Elizabeth Avenue.

Funding for the rest of the 10-mile project is stalled in City Council.

Another meeting is from 6:30 to 8 Wednesday night at the Hindu Center of Charlotte.
