Dozens of investigators spent Friday night cleaning up meth labs found inside a Union County hotel room and a car parked outside.
Investigators evacuated an entire side of the Relax Inn in Monroe during the cleanup. Eyewitness News found out the man accused of making the dangerous drug was busted for doing the same thing two months ago.
"It's stupid and makes me upset," said Kimberly Terrell, a resident at the hotel.
Police said James Robinette, 50, was responsible for making both meth labs. He is a registered sex offender who police arrested in June for cooking up meth in his Monroe condo complex. Investigators said he was out of jail on bond when they got word about the latest incident.
They said they received a tip that Robinette was making meth in his car then driving to the Relax Inn to finish up the drug in a hotel room registered to his name.
Robinette was arrested and charged with trafficking and manufacturing meth.
