MONROE, N.C. —
Police in Monroe are looking for two men in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault.
Officers said the men followed a woman home and then forced her into their SUV.
Police said early Wednesday morning, the victim had parked at her home when two men came up to her and forced her into their Ford Explorer at gunpoint.
Authorities said the men drove the woman to a nearby gas station, where a surveillance camera captured pictures of the male passenger, who was wearing a very distinctive jacket.
Police said the man tried to use the victim's ATM card but was unsuccessful, so they drove her to a nearby bank.
After that, officers said the men took her home, where the sexual assault occurred.
“I don't like people targeting women, especially who are coming home alone at that time in the morning,” Detective Morgan Malone said.
Police said the other suspect, who was not pictured, has a tattoo of praying hands with rays of light on the inside of his right forearm.
Anyone with information should call the Monroe Police Department.
