HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. —

A Huntersville father who was already in jail for abusing his 7-week-old twins is also charged with assaulting a woman.

Investigators said Cory Geisler, 25, confessed to abusing his twins.

The boy died and the girl is in the hospital with serious injuries.

"There was an admission to abuse of both children," said deputy Chief Michael Kee.

Police also said the little boy's autopsy showed someone abused him before he died.

Eyewitness News found court documents spelling out the injuries of the little girl in the hospital.

Bilateral fractures of the femur and internal injuries are tied to what investigators call healing fractures.

Police said they are still investigating what happened with both children and how much of Giesler's alleged abuse played in the twins' injuries.

Authorities have not released any more details about the new charge.

Police are still investigating the case.
