A man was arrested early Wednesday after troopers say he sped away from them in north Charlotte.
They said the motorcyclist was going 30 miles over the speed limit on Interstate 77 near LaSalle Street shortly after 1 a.m. They said they tried to pull him over, but kept going at speeds up to 130 mph on Harris Boulevard.
They arrested him after the stolen motorcycle finally slipped on wet ground and wrecked on Old Statesville Road.
Troopers have not released the suspect's name. They said he will be charged with felony eluding officers, speeding, reckless driving, possession of a stolen motorcycle and driving with a revoked license.
