National average for gas jumps; Charlotte stays same

The national average for gas prices jumped one and a half cents overnight to $3.84.

Analysts say refineries are waiting to switch from a more expensive summer blend to a cheaper winter mix next week.

At least eight states are paying $4 a gallon because of the delay.

Charlotte is not one of the cities experiencing that price increase.

The average price of gas hasn't moved from $3.81 in a week.
