RALEIGH, N.C. —
North Carolina’s Senate is expected to give its final approval Friday on bringing fracking to the state.
The natural gas drilling bill will then head to the house.
The bill changes a current law that requires lawmaker approval before wells can be drilled.
Instead, state agencies would have the authority to issue permits making the state more attractive to energy companies.
