ZEBULON, N.C. —

A Wake County tobacco farmer has won more than $1 million in the Carolina Cash 5 lottery game.

It's Homer Buffaloe's second win in the game since 2010.

Buffaloe won $1.1 million in Sunday's game, the largest amount ever for a single ticket.

The Zebulon man also received half of a $408,000 jackpot in the same game in November 2010.

Lottery officials said the only larger jackpot in the Carolina Case 5 game was more than $1.3 million in 2011. But three winners split that award.

Buffaloe received more than $778,000 on Monday after state and federal taxes were withheld.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
