The city of Charlotte could choose a new company to handle valet parking at Charlotte Douglas Airport Monday night -- which comes after channel 9 investigated several complaints from travelers.
Depending on the vote, the airport could have a new valet service sometime this summer.
Park Incorporated -- the current company -- is set to have its contract expire in June. They’ve been running the service for the past decade.
Recently though, it's been plagued with problems, including valet workers accused of stealing items from cars, customers complaining their cars were being searched without them knowing about it and workers being charged with taking cars on joy rides.
City officials are looking at a three-year, $2.3 million contract with an Atlanta-based company called Ameripark.
Last month airport officials announced plans to look for a new valet company and city leaders will vote on it Monday night.
Channel 9 will be at the meeting tonight and will have the latest on this story on Eyewitness News at 10 and 11 p.m. and on wsoctv.com.
