GASTONIA, N.C. —

Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire at a house in Gastonia Thursday.

The fire broke out at a home on Cedar Oak Circle around noon.

When firefighters arrived, they said smoke and flames were coming from the top of the house. They got the fire out in about 30 minutes.

The flames caused about $50,000 in damage.

Officials said one firefighter was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
