Police arrested a man Thursday in connection with a report of a man exposing himself to two girls Saturday, according to a news release.
On Saturday, officers of the Huntersville Police Department received a report of a male jogger exposing himself to two girls.
The girls were playing in a common area near the intersection of Spruell Street and Holly Springs Drive in Huntersville when they observed a white male jogging down Spruell Street towards them.
As the man approached the girls, they said he exposed his genitals to them as he ran past. The man made additional loops around the common area while reaching his hand into his pants as he passed the girls, they told police. The man then continued jogging down Spruell Street away from the victims.
After officers received the suspect description, he was identified by a detective with the Huntersville Police Department who was jogging in the area during the same time of the incident. The detective recalled passing a man fitting the suspect's description during his run.
On Thursday, the suspect met with officers at the Huntersville Police Department at which time he confessed to the girls' allegations, police said.
Police arrested Hugh Thomas Ragland IV, 25, of Huntersville. He was charged with two counts of felony indecent exposure and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.
The Huntersville Police Department is asking any citizens that may have had similar contacts with Ragland to contact them.
