CMPD arrested Cedrice Brown for taking an iPad from a McDonald's customer.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department charged Cedrice Brown, 18, with the robbery of a McDonald’s store on East W.T. Harris Boulevard.
Brown was arrested Friday morning by the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team. He was interviewed by detectives before being charged with common law robbery and felony probation.
The robbery happened on Wednesday, Oct. 9 around 10:30 a.m. at the McDonald’s located at 5800 East W.T. Harris Blvd. Police said a male victim was sitting down at a table when two suspects assaulted him and then stole his iPad.
Police released surveillance photos on Oct. 15.
According to CMPD, the second suspect who was identified won’t be facing any charges in this case.
