CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged three people in connection with several robbery cases.
A man was walking on Scaleybark Road on Monday evening when two men got out of a vehicle and approached him, police said. One of the men threw the victim to the ground and kicked him, and the other man pointed a gun at the victim, according to investigators. Police said they were demanding money.
When several vehicles passed by, police said the suspects got back in the vehicle and left.
Officers said they found the vehicle a short time later and the victim was able to identify Yahdan Wheeler, 20, and Jarnell Ervin, 18, as the suspects.
Police said the suspects were also involved in two other robberies.
Wheeler, Ervin and Vincent Price, 18, were charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy, officers said.
