HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. —

A seven-week-old baby is dead and his twin sister is injured.

Police said their father confessed to abusing them.

As of Wednesday night, the father is still behind bars and is charged with child abuse.

He is being held on more than $30,000 bond.

The neighborhood is a quiet one in Huntersville, full of young parents and police officers, but neighbors said they barely know the father, Cory Geisler.

Neighbors said Geisler keeps to himself and would wave hello every now and then.

Almost no one that Eyewitness News met knew he had seven-week-old twins, a boy and a girl.

"There was an admission to abuse of both children," said deputy Chief Michael Kee.

Police also said the little boy's autopsy showed someone abused him before he died.

Eyewitness News found court documents spelling out the injuries of the little girl in the hospital.

Bilateral fractures of the femur and internal injuries are tied to what investigators call healing fractures.

Police said they are still investigating what happened with both children and how much of Giesler's alleged abuse played in the twins' injuries.

Police are still investigating, to see whether to charge Geisler with more than child abuse.
