CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
A neighborhood near SouthPark had three break-ins in just one week.
They happened in Spring Valley, which is just south of Park Road Park.
Police say there's a good chance the cases are related. One happened on Telfair Road. Aaron Foster was living there at the time and said the burglar stole a $1,200 TV and his favorite baseball cap. He lives in Maryland now.
"I feel violated,” Foster said. “He smashed a back window with a rock. So he didn't even care at all about my stuff, and then I had to clean it all up."
The second happened the same day, around the same time, on Colchester Place. In that case, the victim told police he was home at the time and saw the suspect standing in his house. Then, his dog scared off the burglar before he or she could steal anything.
The third case happened a few days later on Northampton Drive. Like the first break-in, no one was home. The victim said the burglar got away with two TVs and a computer.
Longtime Spring Valley resident Terrance Saunders didn't know about any of the cases until Eyewitness News told him. He said he was "very" surprised.
Police say they added patrols, including officers on bike. They also tweeted an alert to roughly 250 followers and passed out fliers. They're looking for two white men in their 20s driving a black car, possibly a Chevy Impala.
