LENOIR, N.C. —
A Lenoir man is accused of stealing copper from a recycling center.
The Hickory Daily Record reported Harvey Hargett is charged with one count of larceny.
Investigators said he was caught on surveillance video taking copper from the center on 13 Street NE, where he was an employee.
Police recovered more than 500 pounds of the stolen copper at another recycling center.
The copper is estimated to be worth at least $2,000.
