CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Police are looking for a man who pepper-sprayed a jewelry store owner during a robbery.

Police said A. Bonnart Jewelers in south Charlotte was robbed on Thursday afternoon. A man walked in and used pepper spray on the owner, police said.

The man might have also pepper-sprayed the owner’s son, who was beaten up and had to be taken to a hospital.

Investigators aren’t sure yet whether the man got away with any jewelry. They said he ran out of the store, got into a gray car and drove away.
