Police: No headlights leads to violent crash on Independence Blvd.

Police said a driver that was not using headlights caused a crash in southeast Charlotte overnight.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Police said a driver who was not using headlights caused a crash in southeast Charlotte overnight.

That driver was rushed to the hospital.

Police said an SUV made a left turn from Independence Boulevard to Sardis Road North and didn’t see the car coming.

Then the car T-boned the SUV, police said.

Police are waiting on lab tests to determine if the driver had been drinking.

The people in the SUV were not seriously hurt.
