Parents have been charged with felony child abuse after their 11-month-old son was found with bruises Friday.
A Monroe police officer responded to a call Friday night about a child who was assaulted at the Quality Inn on Roosevelt Boulevard.
The toddler had bruises on the face, neck and head. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.

Danny Lee Tackett, 28, of Charlotte, was charged with felony child abuse. An official with Monroe police said Tackett is being held without bond because of outstanding domestic violence warrants. Tackett is at the Union County jail and will be in court Dec. 20.
