CHESTER, S.C. —
Police are searching for a man after a bank was robbed in Chester, S.C.
Chester police were dispatched around 3 p.m. Thursday to Spratt Savings & Loans Banking at 121 Saluda St. to investigate an armed robbery. A man entered a bank with the intent to rob money, according to a news release. The man was described as being in his late 40s or early 50s. Police said he's around 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds with age spots or moles on the right side of his face. The man was wearing a gray baseball cap, khaki-colored pants and a blue-and-white checkered short-sleeved shirt. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
