Officers are searching with a K-9 in the woods just a few blocks from where a shooting happened Friday night.

Two people were shot on Davenport Street, according to police. Officials said one person had a serious injury after being shot in the leg and another was grazed by a bullet.

Police told Eyewitness News they are still looking for a suspect.

Earlier, a police helicopter was searching an area near Interstate 85 and Freedom Drive for a man.

Police put one woman in handcuffs and put her in the back of a police car.                          

Neighbors said they’ve seen police at the house before.

"It is unusual,” said neighbor Betty Gale. “I have never heard gunshots. But I have seen a lot of activity."
