CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
On Tuesday night, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District is expected to present a plan to beef up security to the board of education.
Eyewitness News got a first look at the plan earlier in the month.
After the Connecticut school shooting, CMS said it may spend about $30 million on security upgrades.
It could add fences, surveillance cameras and a new ID system to scan in visitors.
The money would come from savings from the 2007 bond and will be presented to the county.
