Rain chances across the Charlotte area will take a bit of a break for the next few days.
A few isolated downpours may still fire up Tuesday afternoon with the best chances south of the metro area and in the mountains.
Toward the end of the week, an area of tropical moisture will move out of the Gulf of Mexico and roll toward the Carolinas. It won't bring major rain with it, but it will increase chances for downpours by the end of the week.
The chance for rain will continue into the weekend as temperatures remain in the low to mid 80s.
