Worker rescued at construction site in southeast Charlotte

Rescuers respond to fall
Chopper 9 flew over the scene where firefighters lowered a stretcher into a portion of the foundation of a house.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Emergency crews rescued a man from a construction site in southeast Charlotte Thursday.

Rescuers were called to Donnegal Farm Road near Matthews for a fall.  Officials said the man fell about six feet.

It appeared the worker fell at the construction site of a new home.

Chopper 9 flew over the scene where firefighters lowered a stretcher into a portion of the foundation.  Firefighters used a ladder truck to lift the worker out.

Rescuers lifted the worker out and loaded them into a waiting ambulance.  Officials said the worker was moving all his limbs.

Channel 9 is working to find out the condition of the worker.
