CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

The Flying Biscuit Café is planning to honor the memory of a former employee as the one-year anniversary of her death approaches.

Danielle Watson worked at the restaurant in StoneCrest Shopping Center. Police said she was killed last January during a robbery there.

Mark Cox was charged in her death.

The Flying Biscuit Café on Rea Road said it will donate all gross profits from Sunday to The American Cancer Society in Watson’s memory.

"We continue to mourn the loss of Danielle Watson and today is a difficult day for all of us who knew her, including many of the employees that are here today. Danielle was a valued colleague and friend who continues to be missed," Will Bigham, The Flying Biscuit Café co-owner said. "Our hope is to honor Danielle's legacy and cherish her memory with a contribution to The American Cancer Society, an organization respected by Danielle. We offer our utmost condolences and continued support to her family and friends."
