ROCK HILL, S.C. —
An organization in Rock Hill has more support thanks to hundreds of runners.
The first Joe David Memorial Resolution Run kicked off on Saturday at Walter Elisha Park in Fort Mill.
Joe Davis died from an accidental drug overdose after a lengthy battle with addiction.
His sister organized the event and said the support has been overwhelming.
"It's going great! We have a great turnout, over 500 people came out today, I don't have a final number, but the support of this community is absolutely amazing," said Melissa Davis Boyd.
All the money risen during the 5K will go to Keystone Substance Abuse Services.
