Search underway for missing Caldwell County man

The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office is searching for a 57-year-old Rhodhiss man who has been missing for more than two days.

Ralph Edward “Red” Poarch was last seen at his home on Powerhouse Lane  on January 1.

Family members said he sometimes leaves home without telling anyone, but he usually returns within 24 hours. He normally travels on his bicycle, but it was still at the home.

It is unknown whether Poarch left on his own or with another.

On Thursday, two marine crews were searching Lake Rhodhiss. Two more crews were out searching on foot.
