Sex for $6 leads to trouble

A $6 sex act landed a woman in jail and a man getting questioned by police. He wasn't charged.

Police say Misty Marie Kullman, 25, of the 200 block of Best Street, took a $2 bill, three $1 bills and an assortment of pocket change from a man to perform a sex act Tuesday outside a car on Claxton Drive in Shelby. Kullman faces a prostitution charge. Police took a written statement from the man, but did not charge him with a crime.

Police went to Claxton Drive on a suspicious vehicle call and spoke to Kullman, who was a passenger in the car at the time. Kullman told police that the man picked her up from her apartment and they were riding around and talking, according to a police report.

The man admitted to police that he paid Kullman for a sex act, Officer D.K. Gemes wrote in the report.

Police recovered the $2 bill, three $1 bills and the assortment of change from Kullman.

Kullman was scheduled to appear in Cleveland County District Court Friday on the misdemeanor prostitution charge.
