CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. —
A Caldwell County woman is facing charges after investigators say they found a meth lab in her home.
Agents received a tip that Christmas Carol Jackson, 39, was making meth at her Lenoir home, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said. Investigators said research in a national database showed Jackson had recently bought products that can be used to make meth.
After gaining consent to search, agents said they found precursor chemicals in Jackson’s room.
They then obtained a search warrant and said they found remnants of a recent meth cook.
Jackson was charged with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine, one count of possession of precursor chemicals and one count of maintaining a dwelling to keep/store a controlled substance.
Officials responded to the scene to help clean up the lab.
