The summer heat will continue Monday with highs near 90.
Severe Weather Team 9 meteorologist Vicki Graf said the temperature will feel like it’s in the mid-90s Monday.
Graf said there is only a very slight chance for afternoon shower or storm Monday. Most of the weather models keep the Charlotte area dry, but Futurecast is showing a few spotty downpours for the mountains.
Graf said the storm threat stays low this week. Any storms will likely be northwest of Charlotte.
The heat and humidity will stick around through Thursday with highs close to 90. A cold front comes in Thursday that will usher in cooler, drier air just in time for the weekend.
Graf said the weekend will stay dry with highs in the low 80s.
