CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Investigators released surveillance pictures Friday of a man they said tried to rob a bank in Charlotte.

The man walked into the BB&T on Albemarle Road around 2:15 p.m. Friday and passed a note to a teller, investigators said. They said he left the bank without receiving any money.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a black man who was wearing a beige or gold-colored sweatsuit with a white stripe down the side, a white painter's mask, sunglasses and a green hat, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or FBI Charlotte at 704-672-6100.
