Toxicology results for a teen whose body was found at a cement factory in Carborro indicated he had a blood alcohol concentration nearly three times the legal limit when he died.
The legal limit in North Carolina is 0.08. Investigators said David Shannon climbed on machinery and fell 30 feet onto a concrete surface. Shannon graduated in 2012 from Myers Park High School and was a freshman at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
