CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Temperatures will rebound Monday afternoon with highs jumping back into the lower 50s.
The dry weather won’t last long, as rain is on the way Tuesday.
Clouds will move in Monday night and temperatures will fall to the mid- to upper 30s.
Rain will start up around mid-morning Tuesday with a little mix expected in the mountains only.
Minor accumulation is expected there with Ashe and Watauga counties under a winter weather advisory.
Showers will be in Charlotte through early afternoon before tapering off in time for the evening commute.
Things will dry out Wednesday and Thursday, but more rain is in the forecast for Friday.
Friday may be a better chance for more steady rain, adding up to more than a half-inch.
