MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. —
Authorities say a neighbor was in the right place at the right time and did just the right thing when suspects broke into a house Friday.
Detective Lt. Dan Shook of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 41-year-old Theodore Paul Buckner of Deer Park Road in Nebo, 32-year-old April Michelle Loftis of Enola Road in Morganton and 38-year-old Patricia Ann Roberts of Deer Park Road in Nebo with one felony count each of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods. They were all taken into custody in lieu of $30,000 bonds.
Shook said a caller phoned the Sheriff’s Office at approximately 3 p.m. Friday and said someone was carrying property out of theChisholm Trailresidence of a neighbor, Mark Andrews.
The suspects left the area in a Jeep. Sheriff’s deputies responded, pursued the vehicle and stopped it onGoose Creek Road.
Investigators found property inside the Jeep that had been stolen from Andrews’ house, like car parts, brass fittings and power tools, according to Shook.
All of the items, valued at $400, were recovered.
