TIMELINE: Phylicia Barnes case

BALTIMORE, MD —

Dec. 28, 2010: Phylicia Barnes disappears while visiting family in Baltimore

Jan. 4, 2011: Police turned up no sign of a missing Monroe teenager during a Tuesday search of a secluded Baltimore park

March 8, 2011: A Baltimore police officer who led the investigation into a missing local teen is now off the job after leaving the scene of the accident.

April 20, 2011: Two bodies were discovered in the Susquehanna River near the Conowingo Dam. Dental records were used to positively identify one of the bodies as the 16-year-old, police said.  The other body was that of a 53-year-old man. Police later determined there was no connection between the two.

April 22, 2011: Students at Union Academy were already out of school when many of them found out their classmate Phylicia Barnes' body had been found in a Maryland river

May 4, 2011: Police in Baltimore announced that Phylicia's death was a homicide

May 7, 2011: A private funeral service was held this weekend for Barnes in Conyers, Ga.

July 7, 2011: Federal investigators are asking for warrants to access Facebook pages and various email accounts linked to Barnes as a part of a child pornography and sexual exploitation investigation.

Sept. 6, 2011: Channel 9 obtained court documents that show Barnes' sister was trying to keep her ex-boyfriend, Michael Johnson, away from her.  He was reportedly the last person to see Phylicia alive.
