CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Police said wet roads are being blamed for a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 77 south that snarled traffic for several hours Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred near Clanton Road around 2 a.m.
The tractor-trailer carrying frozen pizza overturned caused major backups in the area for hours.
The driver had only minor injuries.
Debris from the truck slid down the embankment off the road.
Cleanup crews plan to bring in a second truck later in the morning to clean up the debris.
