MONROE, N.C. —
People who live near Monroe will have a chance to talk to transportation leaders Tuesday night about the proposed bypass.
The toll road would run 20 miles between Matthews and Marshville. It would force some families out of their homes.
People at a meeting in Matthews on Monday night said they just want to know if and when it will happen.
A court put a stop to construction, saying leaders need to do more research on the environmental impact of the project.
If you want to learn more, Tuesday’s meeting is at the Union County Agricultural Center on Presson Road in Monroe. It's from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
