Investigators identified Thursday a driver they said hit and killed a teen and drove away last month in Union County.
For now, the driver has not been charged.
Troopers released an incident report that shows what happened the night Joshua Crowley was hit and killed. According to the report, Crowley’s blood alcohol level was 0.13 percent at the time of the accident.
According to the report, Crowley was walking in the roadway on Potter Road on April 7. Troopers said Crowley had been at a party.
Friends said he had been in an argument with a friend and decided to walk home.
The incident report states that during Crowley’s walk home, an SUV driven by a 17-year-old girl hit him. She was headed south and kept driving, according to the report.
At the time of the accident, troopers said a witness saw it, but did not report it to police because they thought the driver had struck an animal.
Crowley’s body was not discovered by police until the next day.
Troopers said they are still gathering evidence and will present it to the district attorney soon.
