Woman arrested in Granite Falls meth bust

GRANITE FALLS, N.C. —

A six-month investigation led to a meth bust for Caldwell County drug agents Friday.

Community complaints about possible drug activity at 5086 Jett Drive in Granite Falls sparked an investigation by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office’s Inner-county Counter-drug Enforcement Unit – better known as the ICE Unit.

Agents conducted several undercover drug buys from Michelle Wike Hollar, 44, at the home before getting a search warrant.

When agents saw Hollar drive away from her home, she was stopped and detained by a K-9 officer and a drug agent while the Caldwell County SWAT Team raided the house.

Officers found six grams of methamphetamine and $685 in cash on Hollar. The agents searching Hollar’s house found cash, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana, according to a media release from the Caldwell County Sherriff’s Office.

The drugs seized have a street value of $904, according to state guidelines.

Hollar was charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and felony maintaining a vehicle to keep and store a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $10,000 secured.
