CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. —
"I don't know if she's going to send a crew down here or spray the house. I don't know what she's going to do," said Teresa Webber.Webber said she is living a nightmare. She believes her fiancé's sister wants her dead.A week ago, Cleveland County deputies arrested Deanna Pruitt after they said she tried to hire a hit man.On Monday night, Webber called Channel 9 saying she was Pruitt's intended target, and now she's afraid because Pruitt is out of jail."Why is she out really? Is my kid going to have to see me dead before they take it for real?" said Webber.Webber found out about Pruitt's release on Monday when she didn't see her mugshot listed in the jail.Eyewitness News asked the Cleveland County district attorney about Pruitt's release and he said they are discussing dropping charges because of insufficient evidence.Investigators said Pruitt confessed last week."I'm just scared she's going to do it when I'm alone and by myself," said Webber.Webber claims Pruitt is jealous of her because she wants the family home that Webber is living in.Webber has a 13-year-old son and she said she's afraid for his life, too."I keep her in my prayers every night; I've done it for over a year. Don't seem to be working," said Webber.
