Longtime Worker, Job Applicant Killed At Charlotte-Area Soft Drink Plant

CONCORD, N.C. —

Concord police were looking Friday night for a man they believe is responsible for murdering two people at a business on Friday morning.

58-year-old Donna Barnhardt, 58, and Darrell Noles, 44, were shot and killed inside the Sundrop Bottling Company on Branchview Drive. Barnhardt was a secretary at the business for 18 years, and Noles was simply applying for a job.

Police say a man walked into the business around 10 in the morning, robbed the company, shot the two victims, and then escaped.

There was no surveillance video.

"It's always somebody else, or somebody in some other state, or what have you. But this is right here," said Frank Small, one of Barnhardt's neighbors.

Police say the man leaving the building was black man with a slim build. He had dreadlocks down to his shoulders and he wore a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
