Man Accused Of Trading Mother's Car For Crack, Filing False Report

BESSEMER CITY, N.C. —

A Bessemer City man is accused of trading his mother’s Honda Accord for $60 worth of crack.

The Gaston Gazette reports Charles Randy Flowers, 47, told police he was carjacked at a convenience store Nov. 5 on West Virginia Avenue when the drug dealer did not return with more crack in exchange for the silver car.

Police took out a warrant Tuesday for false report of theft of motor vehicle on Flowers.

Flowers was placed in the Gaston County Jail under $1,000 bond.
