Man Charged With Animal Cruelty In Lincoln County

 

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. —

Police charged a man with animal cruelty after they said he shot a neighbors dog.

According to police, Edwina Willis, of 7840 Matthew Miller Road in Lincoln County, reported witnessing her boxer bulldog being shot by her neighbor, Brandon Neil Gantt.

She said she was watching deer on her wooded property when she saw Gantt come out of his residence with a rifle and shoot her dog.

Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies said they obtained a warrant for Gantt and arrested him. A judge set Gantt's bond at $500.
