Man Falls From Uptown Construction Site

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Police said a man is fighting for his life after he fell several stories at an uptown construction site.

It happened at 8:20 a.m. Saturday at the site on 5th and Pine streets, where a luxury condominium complex is being built.

Police said the man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is a construction worker for R. J. Griffin Construction. The company is building the condo “The Vue,” which will eventually be more than 50 stories tall.

Authorities have not released the man’s name. Eyewitness News is making calls to find out how the man fell.
