CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
More people are expected to hit the highway this Fourth of July as gas prices took a plunge.
According to AAA, around 5 percent more drivers will be traveling in North Carolina this year.
In Charlotte, prices are 30 cents cheaper than last year during the Fourth of July holiday.
But analysts said the dip in prices may be over since it increased by a penny early Tuesday morning.
