CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Flight 1041 arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport just after 8:30 Saturday when Medic received a call about people on board suffering from headaches and nausea.
Airport officials said 164 passengers were on the flight.
US Airways spokesperson Michelle Mohr said only seven of those passengers and seven crew members complained of feeling ill. The passengers were checked, treated, and released at the airport. The crew members were transported to the hospital as standard procedure.
The plane has been taken out of service and will be taken to a maintenance area and checked by a mechanic.
Late Saturday night, a spokesperson from the Charlotte Fire Department told Eyewitness News the passengers were not ill as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
US Airways is investigating the incident.
