BELMONT, N.C. —
There will be visitation from noon until 3 p.m. prior to the service at South Point Free Will Baptist Church on 297 Gaither Road in Belmont, where Reverend Wilson was a pastor.
He died in a car crash in South Carolina when he and some church members were coming back from a golf retreat in Myrtle Beach.
Wilson was driving the church van when a truck pulling a trailer lost a tire, police said.
Officers said Wilson tried to swerve to avoid the tire and crashed head-on with a pick-up truck.
Wilson died on the scene, officials said.
He was a pastor at South Point Free Will Baptist Church for more than a decade.
