Pedestrian Killed On North Tryon Street

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Investigators searched for clues Thursday night after a van killed a person walking in Northeast Charlotte.

A Time Warner Cable van hit someone walking on North Tryon Street around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The victim was thrown 70-feet after being hit.

The victim was wearing dark clothing and was not near the crosswalk, investigators said.

North Tryon Street was temporarily closed from Pavilion Boulevard to the county line while police investigated.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
